Main Duties and Activities:

• Performing regular database health checks to ensure that the database is running optimally.
• Monitoring for potential data breaches and ensuring that sensitive data is protected.
• Implement database development and maintenance activities and carry out ERP systems maintenance, patching and upgrades as per business needs and in compliance with IT standards and procedures.
• Undertake database backup and restore to ensure corporate applications incorporate high availability features and data is recovered and restored in case of disaster. Perform planned and unplanned server failovers.
• Perform and support activities related to database security, auditing, confidentiality in coordination with concerned Information Security and relevant business staff.
• Collaborating and liaising with Application Management, IT Customer Service, and other IT functions to fulfill necessary tasks and ensure the smooth functioning of corporate application databases within the current IT infrastructure.
• Migrating databases between different platforms, versions, and environments, ensuring that the data is moved securely and that there is no data loss during the migration process.
• Managing database changes, including ensuring that changes are properly documented, tested, and implemented without disruption to the business.
• Prepare documentation for the systems that are being supported and maintained. Maintain a complete record of all activities, processes, procedures, and changes made to the database and ERP systems during regular operations, out-of-band support, and maintenance to ensure proper traceability and auditing.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT engineering, or a related field.
• Certifications: Professional Certifications in management systems / technologies used by the organization.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the related field, preferable within the industry in which the organization operations.
